MSM install new 40" fluid form press
Our new fluid forming press is now installed and is already showing efficiencies in the manufacture of intricate and deep drawn pressings. We have located the press within a lean cell, allowing improved flow on inconel details for our aircraft exhaust programmes. Complimentary Nadcap approved 5 axis profiling on our Trumpf laser is within the lean cell, along with hydraulic riveting of the detail parts into high value assemblies. The press and its’ cell have realised greater capacity in our niche forming facility, and we are keen to look at future opportunities for this type of work in the market place.
Spec: 5,500ton press. 7,500psi forming pressure. 40” part envelope. 9” tool height.
