Sparks fly at MSM
Middleton Sheet Metal have installed a Trumpf 5 axis laser. One of only five in the UK it will provide added cost-effectiveness and quality in the supply of formed and welded aerospace components.
The Trumpf TLC Cut5 will produce high quality, clean-cut edges from direct interface with all common CAD systems. MSM have already realised cost savings in profiling inconel and titanium pressings and laser drilling bleed air holes in their manufacture of piccolo tubes.
MSM are aerospace fabricators specialising in the manufacture and repair of complex welded ducts and assemblies. Key processes include Saab fluid forming, Nadcap welding, pipe bending and EASA repair and overhaul.
