The Position

Reporting to the Team Leader, the Quality Inspector will be responsible for ensuring that all aerospace components and products comply with regulatory and company quality standards.

Key responsibilities

- Perform inspections on incoming materials, in-process production and all finished goods.

- Use precision measuring instruments and equipment to verify compliance with engineering drawings and specifications.

- Document inspection results and maintain detailed quality records.

- Identify non-conformances and support root cause analysis.

- Liaise with production, engineering and supply chain teams to resolve quality concerns.

- Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures.

- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, e.g. AS9100 and ISO9001.

- Participate in internal and external audits as required.

- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and safety.

- Housekeeping within work area.

About You

ESSENTIAL DESIREABLE

To understand the importance of Health & Safety.

To have an appreciation of the importance of accuracy and attention to detail.

Proven experience in quality inspection with the aerospace or a highly regulated engineering environment.

Strong knowledge of inspection techniques and quality control procedures.

Proficient in the accurate use of inspection tools such as micrometres, callipers, CMM and other precision instruments.

Ability to read and understand drawings and technical specifications.

Excellent attention to detail & problem-solving skills.

To be physically fit and active, with the ability to stand for long periods of time.

Good communication and teamwork abilities.

The attitude and desire to succeed.

Ability to prioritise workload.

Can demonstrate a knowledge of Aerospace Manufacturing Techniques.

PFD (Penetrant Flaw Detection) and heat treatment equipment.

Experience and good working knowledge of ISO9001/AS9100 management systems and standards.
