The Position
Purpose
Reporting to the Technical Director, the Senior Quality Engineer will be accountable for ensuring all products and components meet rigorous aerospace quality and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong experience in the aerospace sector, a thorough knowledge of industry standards, and proven leadership in quality assurance activities.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the quality management system in accordance with aerospace standards (AS9100/ISO9001), relevant customer and regulatory requirements.
- Support new product introduction by participating in design reviews, process validation, and risk assessments (FMEA, PFMEA, APQP and PPAP).
- Use quality metrics to identify areas for improvement, then engage with necessary departments and supply chain stakeholders to drive positive change.
- Lead quality initiatives, support continuous improvement, drive product and process excellence.
- Lead root cause corrective actions through a structured methodology and identify preventive actions for product and process non-conformances.
- Conduct internal and supplier audits to ensure compliance customer with third party requirements.
- Ensure that all process equipment is calibrated to the required standards.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
- Prepare and present quality reports, metrics and trends to senior management.
- Liaise with customers and regulatory bodies on quality issues, audits & compliance matters.
11.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations, standards, and best practices.

About You
ESSENTIAL DESIREABLE
To understand the importance of Health & Safety.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in quality engineering within the aerospace or aviation sector.
Experience with quality tools and methods (six sigma, lean FMEA, RCA, SPC, APQP, PPAP etc).
In depth knowledge of AS9100/ISO9001 systems and other relevant aerospace standards.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong computer skills with experience of using Microsoft Office to lead positive change.
The attitude and desire to succeed. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience and working knowledge of EASA 145 standards for aircraft maintenance.
Experience with supplier quality management and external auditing.
Experience of the NADCAP audit process.
